While visiting Florida and hearing that Joanne and D'Artangnan were having a few problems with spooking I met up with them and discovered that Joanne had a couple of horses, A bay mare and a Palomino gelding quarter horse called D'Artangnan. D'Artangnan a five year old, had recently been away to a schooling establishment because of a spooking issue. While getting to know Joanne and D'Artangnan at their livery yard, Joanne had expressed disappointment that poor D'Artangnan was still spooking! The three of us, D'Artangnan, Joanne and myself had a walk up to a vacant field and played a few games with D'Artangnan and he responded extremely well, he was very quick and keen to learn. Before to long D'Artangnan was following Joanne around the field, they had really made a great connection. Both Joanne and D'Artangnan were taking there partnership to the next level and it was great to see the communication that they were now building on.
Joanne has my report on spooking, which we discussed at the time and we have maintained contact, It's a great buzz to know that Joanne and D'Artangnan are improving and enjoying there experiences together.

Bob........I have to say that when I saw what you were doing with a horse in an outdoor school a few years ago, I was amazed at the connection you had with the horse and the ease at which the horse seem to know what you were asking him to do and appeared to be a 'communication between with you and the horse'. This was also echoed in the comments of others that were watching you train that day.
When I first met Andrew he had been into horses for a while, he had just then bought a small mare that was unexpectedly' in foal'. We became good friends and andrew was heavily into the horse world, doing well with his various horses at Wembly and various other prestigious events, whilst I, was following other sporting activities. Some years later I went on my travels and we lost touch for long while.
I knew that Andrew had done a lot of video work with horses and other animals as well as whales and dolphins, so, I contacted him and asked if he would shoot some video footage for me and invited him to see the training methods I was using with my horses.
